What to Expect in Your First Lesson
Welcome to my drum studio, where you will be spending your time learning how to play the drums. Over the years I have collected not only the gear but the equipment necessary to provide a smooth learning experience, here's what you'll find in my home studio, as pictured above.
My studio is equipped with some things you won't find at other studios, including interactive sheet music that makes learning fun and effective. With two drum sets, you can practice side by side with me, allowing for immediate demonstration, direct feedback, and efficient practice. I also use the Yamaha EAD 10, which not only allows you to hear yourself as you play, but follow along with in real time with my worksheets, or to your favorite songs. This also allows us to record and listen back to your performances, and make adjustments as needed.

In your initial session, we will discuss your intake form and review your goals. I'll evaluate your current skill level to tailor a plan that is personal to you and ensures your progress, and answer any questions you may have for me.
Your $30 sign-up fee will go towards providing essential materials for effective practice, such as a binder, a collection of printed worksheets, and a pair of drumsticks to get you started at home.
I also recommend each student to invest in a practice pad, to help build technique, timing, and coordination on your own.

Having honed my skills through years of live performances, I've explored a wide array of genres including rock, metal, worship, shoegaze, and many more. My journey has taken me to stages all over Arizona, as well as venues in Texas and California. Whether you just want to play at home or in front a live audience, I have the skills needed to help you reach your goals.
In addition to my extensive live performance background, I've also cultivated valuable teaching experience. As a music tutor at Guitar Center, I've had the privilege of teaching for over two years, guiding them through the intricacies of drumming and music theory. And previously with experience beyond music into the discipline of martial arts, where I previously served as a Shōrin-ryū instructor, leading classes accommodating students of all ages and skill levels.
